Space Science in Action: Space Exploration [Videotape].
In this videotape recording, students learn about the human quest to discover what is out in space. Students see the challenges and benefits of space exploration including the development of rocket science, a look back at the space race, and a history of manned space travel. A special section on the Saturn V rocket gives students insight into the extraordinary measures taken to put humans on the moon. A hands-on activity lets students build their own rocket. Contents include a teacher's guide designed to help science teachers in grades 5-8 by providing a brief synopsis of the program, pre-viewing and follow-up questions, activities, vocabulary, and additional resources.
