The collective bargaining agreement between Southern Oregon State College and the Southern Oregon State College Association of Professors, an affiliate of the National Education Association, covering the period November 27, 1985-June 30, 1987, is presented. Items covered in the agreement include: unit recognition, association security, management rights, faculty governance, strikes, duties of department chairpersons, professional development of faculty members, appointments and evaluation of faculty, retrenchment, development of the college plan of reductions and eliminations, termination procedures, furlough status, salaries and fringe benefits, merit pay, differential salary improvements, procedures for determining less than fully satisfactory service, tenure relinquishment, academic regalia, nondiscrimination, grievance procedure and arbitration, faculty-administration relationships, and working conditions.
