Reframing and Restraining Directives in the Treatment of Clinical Depression.

Tested effects of reframing and restraining directives on depression of high- and low-reactant clients (N=74) classified as moderately to severely depressed. Found reframing more effective than restraining or control, and level of reactance had no effect. Restraining did not differ from control. (Author/NB)
