Examines the extent to which the level of reactance of adolescent clients served as a mediating factor for counselor ratings and two paradoxical intervention techniques: reframe and symptom prescription with adolescents (N=86) in a rural mental-health center. Results reveal a significant interaction effect for level of reactance and intervention type. (Author/MKA)
