Asian and Non-Asian Attitudes toward Rape, Sexual Harassment, and Sexuality.
Kennedy, M. Alexis; Gorzalka, Boris B.
Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, v46 n7-8 p227-38 Apr 2002
Explored potential differences between Asian and non-Asian Canadian university students regarding their attitudes toward coercive and noncoercive sexual behavior. Student surveys indicated that Asian students' attitudes were significantly more conservative. Asian students were more tolerant of rape myths and sexual harassment. They demonstrated decreased tolerance as their length of residency in Canada increased. Women were less conservative than men. (SM)
