Describes a community college's development and implementation of a second-year nursing curriculum which involved clinical experience in an extended care facility in which learning took place in the following areas: the normal physical and developmental aging process; rehabilitation for chronic illness; and specific psychiatric nursing principles of remotivation therapy and reality orientation.
