Love and Logic: Influence on Teacher-Student Relationships and Classroom Climate
Ruddell, Mandy P.
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, University of West Georgia
The purpose of this evaluation study was to explore the extent to which the objectives of the school-wide program, "Love and Logic," had been met in a suburban elementary school in the southeast. The program evaluation was completed using multiple sources of data. A mixed methods design was used to collect and analyze data including a post program survey, focus groups, and review of discipline referrals. An objectives-oriented evaluation revealed that teacher participants perceived both classroom climate and teacher-student relations as positively impacted. Additionally, behavior referrals decreased during the year of program implementation. Suggestions for further research are included as well as implications for the stakeholders.
