Suggests that social work education is not adequately sensitizing students to issues of power and oppression, mainly because of manifestations of privilege, particularly white male privilege, in social work education. Offers evidence for this contention, describes privilege, discusses whose job it is to de-center privilege, and presents a framework for challenging manifestations of privilege in faculty and students.
