This course was organized as a followup to the seminar on mass media and national family planning programs held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris (France), June 23-28, 1969. Among the topics included in the report are: principles and steps in mass media production and utilization; problems arising from the practice of planning, producing, utilizing, and evaluating mass media programs; field reconnaissance of Korean family planning projects and media organizations; screening of materials for communication in family planning, and individual and group research; integrated compaign: planning, production, coordination, and implementation; and recommendations: a draft for a manual on production and utilization of mass media for family planning programs. Appendix A of this report contains the working paper for discussion at the course, and Appendix B is a report on an exercise in planning and implementing an integrated communication campaign for family planning. Three other parts contain a synopsis of the course program, a list of participants, and a bibliography. (BT)
