This article describes a number of promotional events and practices that the author's school engages in. The author hopes that his school's experiences will serve as an inspiration and useful model for other "Tech Directions" readers. There are many methods for successfully promoting one's tech program. Two key strategies are: (1) Connect in person to the outside world by inviting people from business and industry and the community at large to visit one's classroom and lab; and (2) Submit press releases and articles about the program to the media.
