Sexuality professionals have long called for the inclusion of sexual pleasure in sexuality education programs, however, facilitators are often ill-equipped to do so. This lesson plan will help educators conceptualize the topic of sexual pleasure in order to successfully integrate it into their lessons. This lesson also reviews challenges of discussing pleasure in the classroom and ways to address those challenges. Participants also develop their own strategies for incorporating a message of sexual pleasure into a common topic in sexuality education. This lesson also introduces The Pleasure Framework for Sexuality Education as an underlying approach to promoting the development of healthy sexuality inclusive of sexual pleasure.
