This selected bibliography, compiled from recommendations by practicing librarians providing service to Spanish-speaking communities, includes Spanish and bilingual Spanish/English materials dealing with health. The topic is broadly defined to include any conditions which affect a person's well-being, and includes alcohol and drugs, consumer health information, diseases, human physiology, medical care, medicinal plants and herbs, mental health, nutrition, pediatrics/childcare, physical fitness, pregnancy and childbirth, sex education, and women's health. The bibliography is divided into two sections which are organized alphabetically by topic. The first part includes annotated citations of materials currently available from various distributors. The titles listed but not annotated in the second part represent those which were either not verified as in print, or those for which review copies were unavailable. A list of sources for Spanish language materials is also included. (MBR)
