Creativity through a Lens of Social Responsibility: Implicit Theories of Creativity with Korean Samples.
Lim, Woong; Plucker, Jonathan A.
Journal of Creative Behavior, v35 n2 p115-30 2nd Qtr 2001
Two studies examined the implicit creativity theories of over a thousand Korean adults. Results suggest that Korean conceptions of creativity are similar to Western conceptions, although Koreans may emphasize negative behaviors and personality characteristics (e.g., deviance) to a greater degree. Also, subjects strongly emphasized specific cognitive, personality, and motivational aspects of creativity over noncognitive aspects. (Contains references.) (DB)
