New State of Leadership
Ford, William J.
Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, v26 n22 p18-20 Dec 2009
This paper presents how minorities break color barriers in top administrative positions at Pennsylvania institutions. Pennsylvania, the state with the sixth-largest population in the country with more than 12 million people, reportedly has more than 450 public and private colleges, universities and career and technical training schools. "Diverse" caught up with some of these institutions' leaders of color to find out the unique space each is carving out in this diverse higher education landscape.
