Validity of Physiological Measures of Pedophilic Sexual Arousal in a Sexual Offender Population.
Hall, Gordon C. N.; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v56 n1 p118-22 Feb 1988
Analyzed sexual arousal, in response to nondeviant and pedophilic audiotapes, among inpatient adult male sexual offenders. Audiotapes describing consenting sexual intercourse created significantly greater arousal than did descriptions of physically forcible sexual/nonsexual activity with female minors. Correspondence of physiological measures with external offense criteria was weak, suggesting a distinction between sexual arousability and deviant sexual behavior. (Author/KS)
