This interactive multimedia CD-ROM presentation is intended for the parents and families of children who have recently been diagnosed with cancer. It begins with an introduction by a pediatric oncologist. It features menus that include over 200 questions commonly asked about childhood cancer, with answers in a slide presentation format. Menus include the following topics: about cancer, coping, monitoring, interviews with parents, treatment, resources, and care at home. Colorful illustrations accompany each answer. The presentation features video interviews with parents of children who have had cancer, a drug database, a glossary of cancer terms, and a characters database containing cartoon characters who explain various concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
