This directory of African teacher-training colleges assisted by UNESCO and the United Nations Development Program (Special Fund) is intended to aid the exchange of information on the organization, trends, and current problems of teacher education. The following headings are used for each of 24 colleges in 22 countries: general information; administrative structure; educational structure; preparatory section (if present); and activities. Additional information, including curricula and staffing, is included if supplied by the college. Lists of projects in other regions and of the heads of the African colleges are appended. (Editor/AL)
