School organizational culture is an important facet of the coteaching service delivery model. The research study addressed how culture-related behaviors contributed to the effectiveness of organizational culture and the use of the coteaching service delivery model in a high school setting. The purpose of the study was to have a better understanding of the perceptions of administrators and teachers in relation to the use of the coteaching service delivery model. The research questions focused on the structures and patterns of communication related to professional collaboration, collegiality, and coteacher team self-determination. The qualitative single case study focused on current and archival teacher and administrator perceptions to assess and evaluate structural communication using practices of collaboration, collegiality, and self-determination to establish an understanding of characteristics and structures of existing communication patterns related to collaborative teaching. The explanatory case study design employed an open-ended online survey instrument, follow-up interviews, and archival documents to obtain data about structural characteristics and teacher and administrator perceptions of organizational communication patterns related to the coteaching service delivery model utilized in a metropolitan high school. Population for the study consisted of 167 individuals employed at a high school located in Georgia with a purposive sample size of 62 individuals responding. Results of the study included three themes for the School Culture Triage Survey and nine themes for the electronic E-Interview instrument, which were representative of the participant responses. Findings indicated the need for professional development in the areas of school culture and the use of the coteaching service delivery model, identification and development of coteaching service delivery model teams, and policies and procedures for collaborative teams.
