The Relationship between the Three Components of Commitment and Employee Performance in China.
Chen, Zhen Xiong; Francesco, Anne Marie
Journal of Vocational Behavior, v62 n3 p490-510 Jun 2003
A three-component organizational commitment model was tested with 253 Chinese supervisor/supervisee dyads. Confirmatory factor analyses indicated that affective commitment (AC) related positively to in-role performance and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB); continuance commitment correlated negatively with OCB. Normative commitment moderated the relationship between AC and in-role performance as well as OCB. (Contains 76 references.) (Author/SK)
