These career exploration curriculum guides are designed to provide infusion activities for entry-level academic courses at the high school level. Guides are provided for the areas of art, English, foreign language, mathematics, biological science, physical science, and social studies. Each guide is related to an occupational cluster and specific job family. It provides the teacher with the name of the course(s), name of unit, time allowed, major idea, objectives, content, teacher and student activities (including speaker suggestions and field trip recommendations), evaluation techniques, and materials and resources. An index indicates the page numbers for specific job titles. Representative job titles are agronomist, archaeologist, auto mechanic, cartoonist, chef, commercial artist, computer operator, dental hygienist, dietitian, editor, electrician, fish and wildlife manager, flight attendant, graphic artist, illustrator, interior design, interpreter, law enforcer, librarian, meteorologist, nutritionist, optometrist, photographer, piano tuner, psychologist, travel agent, and writer.
