When "Exchange" surveyed leaders of North America's largest non profit child care organizations about threats facing their organizations, not surprisingly, the "state of the economy" was foremost on their minds. What is surprising is that these organizations have been able to weather the economic storm quite well. One should not, however, downplay how difficult this period has been for all programs. This article provides a status report on non profit care and includes a list of North America's top 25 (first draft) largest non profit child care organizations.
