Minority men and women are often reluctant to address the issue of sex bias, perceiving that this will cause intragroup conflict. However, sex stereotypes themselves have negative effects on individuals' personal lives. Understanding and rejecting these stereotypes will enable minority men and women to work together on other priority issues. (Author/GC)
