The Relationship between Dysfunctional Career Thoughts and Adjustment to Disability in College Students with Learning Disabilities.
Dipeolu, Abiola; Reardon, Robert; Sampson, James; Burkhead, Jane
Journal of Career Assessment, v10 n4 p413-27 Nov 2002
College students with learning disabilities (n=153) and without (n=595) completed the Career Thoughts Inventory. The learning disabilities group had fewer dysfunctional career thoughts, less career decision-making confusion, and less commitment anxiety, but more dysfunctional thoughts related to external conflict. As dysfunctional thoughts decreased, positive adjustment to learning disabilities increased. (Contains 56 references.) (SK)
