Designed as a teacher and therapist training tool, this booklet demonstrates how to make several types or kinds of puppets, and how to use them in a variety of classroom situations. The first section includes instructions for the following hand puppets: simple cloth, paper mache, knitted finger, paper bag, and Muppet types. The second section describes how to make simple rod puppets, rod puppets with hand controls, stocking heads for rod puppets, and rod props. Instructions for opaque and translucent shadow puppets are provided in the third section, followed by instructions for simple string puppets in the fourth section. Procedures for making special puppets are provided in the fifth section.
