A number of passages from Aristotle's "Ethics" are discussed in this paper, and their implications for teachers and administrators are examined. Among the many topics considered in relation to teaching and administration are: the importance of performing duties for their own sakes, tbe indispensability of knowledge, the need for clear-cut goals and objectives, the roles of knowledge and of virtue, the difference between willing and unwilling actions, the development of a virtuous character, value formation, equalization of values, the relationships between practical wisdom and virtue and between pleasure and self-restraint, the basis of true friendship, and the need to exhibit equal friendliness toward others.
