Mills, Jamia Sharie
ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, Capella University
Mobile technology has provided flexible methods for employees to complete work-related tasks without being tied to an office. Research has predicted the level of training on mobile technology may impact a user's ability to complete work responsibilities accurately. This study intended to examine what behavior factors from the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology framework could explain the acceptance of mobile technology within the setting of teleworkers. The findings revealed performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence can predict 9.10% of behavior intention among teleworkers' mobile technology usage. The study emphasized the impact of its findings for teleworkers and for academia. Limitations and recommendations are also discussed for future research on this topic.
