This module, one of six on teaching consumer matters to low-income groups, focuses on helping clients make wise choices about housing. It reviews factors to consider in selecting an apartment and discusses the laws in Virginia which relate to housing. Methods for helping clients learn more about housing and housing regulations are also discussed. Sections on federally assisted programs, the Virginia Fair Housing Law, and laws pertaining to mobile home lot rental are also included.
