This report provides basic characteristics data for 15,329 students enrolled in the Metropolitan Community Colleges during the fall 1975 semester. Twenty-nine tables organize information by campus in terms of: males/females by part-and full-time status; enrollment by college and day/other; freshmen/sophomores; race and ethnic origin; student age by year; age summary; veterans receiving benefits; marital status; father's occupation; parental education; student financial status and employment status; annual family income; commuting distance and means of transportation; type of student residence; high school grade point average and class rank; reason for attending college; reason for selecting a community college; student career and degree objectives; plans for returning to community college or reasons for not returning; transfer plans and transfer institutions; how students found out about their particular community college; and persons influential in decision to enroll. Statistics are reported by number of students and as percentages based on total of valid responses. Non-responses or invalid responses are included as absolute numbers but are excluded from percentage data. (TR)
