Meet Marsha William: In Arms Reach Home Day Care
Exchange: The Early Childhood Leaders' Magazine Since 1978, n172 p74-75 Nov-Dec 2006
Confident in what she knows, excited about what she's learning, eager to share her passion with others--this is Marsha Williams, director of In Arms Reach Home Day Care, Baltimore, Maryland. She enjoys being a family care provider, because with no more than eight children, she manages to give more individualized attention on a daily basis. She takes this challenge and responsibility seriously, viewing this endeavor as a ministry to meet the total needs of children--physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual. Marsha is also involved in mentoring other providers, as well as mentoring people in her church who enjoy working with children. In this article, the author describes the professional career of Marsha Williams as a family care provider and how she manages to balance her work and other life issues.
