Marketing Education Program Management Guide.

This guide was designed for use by marketing education teacher-coordinators and administrators in implementing marketing education programs. The document includes the following: an overall picture of administrative responsibilities related to high quality programs, guidelines and forms needed to deliver effective instruction, resources and information regarding Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) chapter management, and professional development opportunities. The essential elements for each course are referenced to the textbooks adopted in Texas and to Texas resource centers. The guide is organized in four sections. The first section describes the responsibilities of marketing education teacher-coordinators and refers to sample forms and procedures located elsewhere in the guide. The second section explains what should be taught in each marketing education course and where and how mastery is to be documented; it also provides correlations to the curriculum guide for marketing education and other resources. The third section provides information for developing and managing local DECA chapters and participation in district, state, and national levels of the program. The final section focuses on opportunities for marketing education teachers to grow professionally. Three appendixes include rules and regulations and program evaluation suggestions, forms, and a suggested filing system. (KC)
