This teacher's guide was developed for use in junior and senior high schools in Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida, for the purpose of identifying those secondary science laboratory experiences which are essential to the development of science content knowledge and competency in handling science laboratory equipment and consumables. The guide begins with a discussion of safety in the laboratory, and includes a copy of a student safety contract which is to be completed by each student and kept on file by the teacher. This section is followed by lists of laboratory equipment, county-adopted texts, and laboratory activity keys for all Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Ecology, Life Science, Marine Biology, Marine Science, Physical Science, Physics, Science Survey, and Zoology courses.
