The Preparation and Utilization of Instructional Packages and Media for Local Directors of Vocational Education. Final Report.

A project was conducted to develop seven instructional modules, including related media, designed to help local vocational directors improve their management skills. The format and terminology used was consistent with that included in the preservice graduate administrative program at Colorado State University. Each module consists of an overview, behavioral objectives, procedural instructions, an instructional information sheet, a slide type series, and a video tape. The module titles include the following: (1) Elements of Motivation, (2) Human Relations, (3) Classroom Observation and Supervision, (4) Curriculum Management: A Systems Approach, (5) Communication Systems and Techniques, (6) Professional Staff Management and Development, and (7) Leadership Styles and Development. (Major contents of this report consist of the written portions of each of the seven modules.) (JH)
