Durbin, Michael P.
ProQuest LLC, Ph.D. Dissertation, Saint Louis University
This study examined the perspectives of IT managers working in colleges and universities regarding their use of and value for project management. Descriptive and inferential analyses were used to understand individual innovativeness, innovation characteristics of project management, and the perceived use of and value for project management best practices. Two key findings about the participants emerged, including evidence of their demographic homogeneity and their innovative personalities. Key findings on the management innovation include strong evidence that project management best practices have been adopted and what management innovation characteristics are important to IT managers in higher education.
