Filmstrips on Maine state history were developed inexpensively by history undergraduate students at the University of Maine and were distributed at low cost to high schools for use in state history courses. The filmstrips are a valuable source of recent historical scholarship because the small population of Maine precludes frequent updating of expensive textbooks. (AV)
