The study conducts a review on the linkage between student loans and low-income students' baccalaureate degree achievement. Specifically, this study synthesizes literature on low-income students' borrowing patterns, low-income students' baccalaureate degree achievement, as well as the relationship between these two topics. Future research should be conducted to address student selection bias and include variables (e.g., variables related to students' motivation and aspiration) that also play an important role in student degree completion when examining the association between student loans and low-income students' educational achievement.
