With the accompanying workbook and teacher's guide, this reader comprises the fourth and last level of a series of supplementary instructional materials for teaching reading in Spanish to second grade students. There are six stories, each from 8 to 14 pages in length, and one "corrido". All are written in Spanish. Black and white illustrations appear frequently. Four stories show different ways of enjoying vacations while gaining useful experience. Two stories and the "corrido" deal with historical and cultural figures. (SB)
