Beginning an Advanced Placement German Literature (Level 3) Course. Edition Y.
Bauer, Donna H.; And Others
This is a supplement to the Advanced Placement (AP) German literature course description. Its aim is both to assist teachers in planning an AP German literature course and to provide experienced AP teachers with information about other successful programs. To this end, six teachers from different high schools in the U.S. provide descriptions of the AP program in German at their schools. These include course outlines and bibliography. They vary considerably, and are offered as guidelines toward the cultivation of the following skills: (1) to read and interpret German literature; (2) to understand a lecture in German; (3) to write simple German with reasonable accuracy; and (4) to write an essay on a literary topic.
