Three practical ideas that can be implemented in elementary schools are given: (1) a guidance committee (composed of representatives from each grade level and an administrator) to facilitate involvement in the school guidance program; (2) field trips to introduce students to the world of work and to establish motivations for learning subject skills; (3) the career pyramid to teach interrelationship of jobs (This can be initiated by a local event such as construction of a new building.)
