This final report contains the program proposal with supporting data for developing curriculum materials for and implementing an associate-degree laser technology program at the North Central Technical Institute. The proposal outline provides this information: (1) objectives for the program designed to prepare a technician to safely operate, maintain, repair, and evaluate laser systems used in various applications; (2) program rationale (need and population support); and (3) curricular materials. These include a proposed two-year (four-semester) curriculum, course descriptions, and information on instructional personnel, faculty, and equipment needs.
