The six issues of Handi Helps presented here focus on specific issues of concern to the disabled, parents, and those working with the disabled. The two-page handi help fact sheets focus on the following topics: child sexual abuse prevention, asthma, scoliosis, the role of the occupational therapist, kidnapping, and muscular dystrophy. Each handi help provides basic information (such as cause, diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment (in the case of diseases), practical suggestions for readers, and additional resources (such as organizations, books, and films).
