This booklet is intended to aid school officials in developing recruitment and selection procedures that fit local needs for hiring new teachers and administrators. The authors outline two basic recruitment and selection plans--one for teaching positions and one for administrative positions. Although these suggestions are designed for school districts large enough to have a full-time personnel administrator, minor modifications would make them applicable to smaller districts as well.
