Benefits of the Bachelor of Education degree recently introduced in England and Wales in an attempt to increase the number of university graduate teachers are analyzed with the conclusion that taking the one-year degree course subsequent to a 3-year teachers college certificate program offers higher investment returns than the alternatives.
