"Inventive" Learning Stations
Jarrett, Olga
Science and Children, v47 n5 p56-59 Jan 2010
Learning stations can be used for myriad purposes--to teach concepts, integrate subject matter, build interest, and allow for inquiry--the possibilities are limited only by the imagination of the teacher and the supplies available. In this article, the author shares suggestions and a checklist for setting up successful learning stations. In addition, a series of learning stations on inventions used in the author's own classroom is included. (Contains 1 figure.)
