Incorporating technology into a counselor's practice has continued to grow. The research supports that it would be advantageous for counseling students to learn the 12 technical competencies suggested by the interest group of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). This study investigated the computer attitudes (perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness) of enrolled students in a master's-level professional counseling program. A positive correlation at the p less than 0.001 significance level was found for both frequency of use with perceived usefulness and frequency of use with perceived ease of use. Motivation, attitudes, and technical self-efficacy were addressed relating the importance of student counselors achieving the 12 technical competencies recommended by the ACES interest group.
