What Might MZ Twin Research Teach Us about Race, Gender & Class Issues?
Charlemaine, Christiane
Race, Gender & Class, v9 n4 p9-32 2002
Deconstructs mainstream twin studies to show the relationship between twins research and race, gender, and class issues related to intelligence and IQ measures. The paper notes that genetic determinism drawn from twin studies based on the assumption that genetics predominates the environment in the transmission of human intelligence is particularly suspect because it has indirectly become the core of racism, sexism, and classism.
