The purpose of this article is to provide physical educators with practical strategies that can assist in preventing injuries in the classroom. The dynamic nature of physical education and the numerous tasks physical educators must complete daily can be challenging. Embedded in these challenges is the constant risk of student injury. Fortunately, there are things that educators can do to counteract the potentially dangerous situations that can lead to student injury. This article identifies several real-life scenarios associated with potential student injury. Additionally, each scenario is accompanied by strategies that can be used to prevent future injuries.
