The Effects of Mild Hearing Loss on Infant Auditory Function.
Nozza, Robert J.
Infant-Toddler Intervention: The Transdisciplinary Journal, v4 n4 p285-98 Dec 1994
A review of laboratory research estimating effects of mild hearing impairment on infant speech perception abilities, under conditions simulating mild hearing loss in normal hearing infants, suggests that even mild alterations of auditory input during infancy may have significant developmental consequences. Results support identification, assessment, and management of mild hearing impairment in infants/toddlers. (Author/DB)
