Barrett, Gerald V.; And Others

The papers are: (1) "Research Models of the Future for Industrial and Organizational Psychology" by G.W. Barrett, which looks at three aspects of research in industrial and organizational psychology, including the characteristics of major advances in science, characteristic ways industrial and organizational psychologists conduct their research, and optimum research approaches to meet future requirements, (2) "Organizational Life in the 70's and Beyond" by B.M. Boss, which describes relevant issues of study in future organizations related to trends in the world of work, changes in technology, and new values, and (3) "Research Needs of the Future in Industrial and Organizational Psychology" by M.D. Dunnette, which traces and evaluates industrial psychology's recent past, examines current patterns of organizational life, and describes what future organizations will be like as a basis for selecting research strategies.
