Influence of Some Hypnotist and Subject Variables on Hypnotic Susceptibility
Greenberg, Robert P.; Land, Jay M.
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 37, 1, 111-15, Aug 71
As predicted, subjects run by the objectively warmer, more competent appearing hypnosis obtained significantly higher susceptibility scores. Structured warmth produced significant differences only in subjects run by the objectively less warm hypnotists. Both structured warmth and experience affected subjects' subjective impressions of whether they thought they had been hypnotized. (Author)
