A guide to aspects of life in the United States is presented in Haitian Creole with concurrent English translations for recent immigrants. The guidelines address housing, employment, education, medical care, travel and communication, finances, and community services. Under each of these categories, details are provided on such topics as household fixtures and appliances, applying for employment, filling prescriptions, transportation modes, use of the telephone, and U.S. coins and currency.
